Teddy Bears

You cannot go wrong with purchasing a teddy bear for a child.  Some children keep them way past grown up.
Teddy Bears originated when President Roosevelt gave permission to call a stuffed bear after him, and they have done nothing but grow in popularity. At the same time, toy makers in Germany were making stuffed bears. By 1906 the toy bears became a fixture and retail sales of stuffed plush animals including teddy bears was $1.3 billion in 2006, and are up from there.

Of course, you can get all sizes and styles of teddy bears, there are collectibles, etc. and a firm favorite for children is the huge teddy bear, as these look wonderful in a child's room.

These come in different shades of brown, black and other colors, but a white teddy bear is always a great choice.

So the next time you are thinking about a great gift for that special child, you cannot go wrong with one of these choices
